Leontina Vatamanu

Born in 1974 in Chișinău, she is the youngest daughter of poet Ion Vatamanu. She graduated from the Academy of Theater and Film in Bucharest, Faculty of Audiovisual Communication. Since 1995, she has been working as a director, screenwriter, and artistic director at OWH Studio, an independent production house in Chișinău. Since 2001, she has been part of the organizing team and the pre-selection jury of the International Documentary Film Festival CRONOGRAF in Moldova. She is the author of several documentaries, awarded both nationally and internationally.

She is a member of the Union of Filmmakers of Moldova and the Union of Film Authors and Directors of Romania. She holds the title of Master of Arts and is the recipient of the National Award in the Field of Culture.
